This is the 4th time we have stayed here overe the years and it is great. Centrally located to go many places...about 15 min. to the airport, Clearwater beach, 30 minutes to the dog races, Tampa, St. Petersburg beaches. A quiet place to relax after days of doing other things and lots of options...2 hot tubs, indoor pool, outdoor pool, etc. I would suggest they add tea bags to the room coffee options and fix the spa elevator which I had to get up two times in the middle of the night to press the close button so it would quit dinging. Love this place.

Safety Harbor Resort and Spa is right at the end of Main Street in downtown Safety Harbor. Walking distance to many bars and restaurants. NOTE: Although there are a few full liquor bars, the town of Safety Harbor is mainly beer and wine. The Spa is full liquor. Oddly, when we checked in, we were told that the elevator to our 4th floor room was down and we would have to take the stairs. We were, however, without even asking, given a $50 gift card for the inconvenience. We used it for Sunday Brunch the next morning. Brunch is $30 each with 1 mimosa included. A little pricey and the food was only OK. Otherwise, other than being a little pricey, the pool area, view of the water, location to other things in Safety Harbor is great. We have been to quite a few weddings there and they have always been awesome.

This did not seem like the pictures or description. It seemed very dated and not very clean. There were pieces of paper and clips under the nightstand. When you tried to open and close the pocket bathroom door the grating noise woke everyone up. They tacked on a 23% tip for room service which seemed excessive. When we tried to order an appetizer and drinks at the bar where other guests were eating, we were told by a stressed out bartender that they were only serving drinks now because it took too long to get food. We would never stay there again.

The room was very clean and even though ours was not huge when compared to some of the others it was still perfectly fine for a vacationing couple. The HVAC was integrated into the building and not some schlocky wall mounted unit so it produces copious cold, dry air quietly and effortlessly. The outside pool was great with plenty of room and the Tiki bar has happy hour just about every afternoon so the cold beer flow could be maintained without breaking the bank. The indoor whirlpools and spa were nice if you weren't inclined to join the heard outside. The gym was surprisingly well appointed and just about the size of a full size, purpose built gym. There are plenty of eateries within a few minutes walk of the Hotel which was great considering the onsite restaurant was a little pricey and the town itself seemed really nice and clean with none of the bottom feeding dirtbags you might see if staying in the north Tampa area. It seems the older part of the Hotel (where we stayed) has a little history..if you know what I mean but other than the toilet seat slamming shut in the middle of the night we had absolutely no problems, btw we did NOT touch the bronze dog statue in the main lobby. The couple next to us in room 318 hauled butt out of there one night leaving a couple cans of sprite and one side of the bed disheveled, they left the door open which is exactly how it stayed for the remainder of our trip (2 more days) and house cleaning never again set foot in their for some weird reason. We couldn't have been happier with our experience and would recommend Safety Harbor Resort and Spa to anybody staying in the Tampa/ST. Pete area.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were in town for a wedding and the reception was being held here so that's why we picked the hotel. The staff was very friendly, the spa facility was amazing, and the beds were extremely comfortable. We had a late afternoon flight so they let us have an extended check out time so we didn't have to sit in the airport for hours. We would definitely go back again
