We stayed at the resort on 10/3/13 - 10/8/13. We got a standard room with 2 full beds. The hotel room was nice but the beds were small for two average size adults. It was a lil tight sleeping in same bed. We asked if they had queen size beds available or even king they had none. The resort did not look sold out or packed, but they did have a lot of weddings and events that weekend. We were annoyed with the wrist bands and only wore them the 1st day, rest of the time we just showed our room card and they were fine with that. We did not eat at the resort as it was actually very pricey. The reosrt is very nice. We loved the hammacks to lay at night and just relax. The paddle boats were nice as well. The Adult pool was awesome. We met so many nice people. We will def return to the resort. Def a lot to do there but we mostly just stayed around the adult pool.

This place was great!  Clean room, well-appointed.  Facilities are nice.  Close to lots of restaurants & shopping.  My ONLY complaint was that the food in the hotel was not great, but we simply drove down the street to some great restaurants.  The beachside restaurant at the Guy Harvey Outpost had great food!  The beach is absolutely amazing!!!!  The cabanas are great & a necessity in the hot Florida sun.  We were there Labor Day weekend, the beach was crowded on that Sunday, but not horrible.  It raine severe morning, but cleared up when it was time to hit the beach.  I had a massage, facial & manucure at the spa.  Staff was really friendly & the services were fantastic.  Each night there were things to do for the kiddos (we did not have our kids with us).  A very family- friendly resort, but large enough that we did not feel like we were bobmarded with kids on our "adult" getaway.  I would return in a heartbeat!!!!

I have been to the Island Grand several times now, and will continue to come back. Rich at the Flying Bridge makes the best Mojitos! The staff is great, especially the staff at the Tiki Bar. The fact that there is an adult only pool is a major reason to come here- you can relax and chat with people from everywhere. The only thing I don't like is their new wristband system- I am an adult, and I am not going to wear some dumb wristband. Overall, a clean, friendly resort with lots to do for everyone!

Lots to do for family. Resort fee of $35/day good value if you use the amenities included. Sting rays around, but they don't both you unless you step on them. Resort employees were very friendly, except concierge person Jes.. Would recommend to family & friends, will stay again..

Never again, worst stay of my life. I was here for a wedding that turned into a nightmare. The rooms are very out dated and the bedding was unraveling, I woke up to string wrapped around my arms! We also found many small bugs in the bottom of the bed. This was also an upgraded room for an additional fee a night. Also, make sure you read the fine print you will get an amenities fee added on your bill for each night. We were unable to sleep at night due to many croaking bull frogs around the dirty lazy river. There were numerous construction projects taking place throughout the hotel which was extremely loud and annoying. There were also areas you could not walk because of wet paint. The beach is not taken care of and is full of shells. Sting ray season is between April and October and we saw numerous individuals with their toes bleeding from stings and shell cuts. The entire hotel and beach area is full of children and is not a relaxing resort. All beach activities cost money and the restaurants and bars are very over priced. We were also not happy with the location of the hotel. It is in a very run down area and is located a half an hour to an hour away from everything interesting and fun. Recommend never staying here. -very reasonable young lady-
