The entire staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. All of the employees were very friendly, especially at the bars / restaurants. The food was good. The steak restaurant was superb; but you do need to get up early to make reservations. The in-room liquour dispenser was awesome - stocked with name brand tequilla, vodka, rum and brandy. The two pools were nice. Swim up bars and pool wait staff were excellent. Two cons: The hallways can be very noisy due to the room service / maid carts moving on tile floors. This noise can be heard in the rooms. The bed was very hard and the pillows were not fluffy. We did enjoy our first RIU experience and will be visiting a RUI resort again.

  • The hotel staff and their services was superior! We got everything we asked for.

Although the room was suppose to be ocean view, it faced the other wings of the hotel, with a garden view. When I asked about that, the front desk told me that the room was considered "ocean view" based on the hotel description. Besides that, all 16 of us enjoyed our stay, loved the food variety and quality. The entire staff from room services to the restaurants, all was great! We recommend this place and will go back again!

  • This hotel feels like a real palace

We celebrated our wedding anniversary and the staff was extremely helpful and generous. A fabulous property with amazing meals and wonderful scenery, it is world class bar none. The food is 24 hour including mini bar, all drinks, buffet, and room service. The only glitch was pre booking the reservations for the non-buffet meals and I highly recommend booking transportation out of the airport prior to the trip, they do try to get you. When you are a guest at the Riu Palace, you also have access to the Riu Santa Fe property next door, both have live shows, swim up bars, fabulous infiniti pools and great night life! There was a whole lot of smoking going on all around us, it's not the US, but the property is clean and looks a lot like San Simeon, e.g. Hearst Castle (the grounds). We will definitely go again! There were two main pools, one was party central and another closer to our room was quieter, which we enjoyed.

The Riu was a beautiful place, the staff was always cleaning everything. The food was great but hard to get a reservation on the same day, was told that one place had no openings for dinner and went to the place and there were plenty of tables should have been able to eat there. Buffet always had a great variety. Rooms were nice the bed was very comfortable. Would have loved to have a different towel animal everyday not just on the first day. The place to eat between the two pools requires that you have shoes on, this was a pain if you just wanted to run in and grab something to take back to the pool. It's really not far from downtown Cabo but everytime you want to go into town its $12 each way, wish the hotel would offer a shuttle back and forth for a cheaper price. We had a great time, partied with alot of differnt people eveyday at the pool. Would come back again forsure.
