After waiting in the check in line for over an hour, which seemed to be a daily occurrence for everyone checking in, they forced us to get a second room because we were traveling with 3 children, even though I told them the 10 year old can sleep with us. The hotel would not allow a third child in the room, or allow a rollaway bed. We had to wait 2 hours for the rooms to be ready and they put the kids in a room that was 20 rooms down the hallway. Then we realized the air conditioner in the kids room wasn't working, and waited 2 hours for someone to come and fix it. Eventually, I had to complain again and they finally moved us to a different floor and gave us 2 rooms next to each other. The rooms have no connecting doors, which made everything difficult as we had brought toiletries to share. Since we wasted our first day moving rooms, they agreed to give us a complimentary breakfast buffet. The buffet was very good, but they didn't put the notes in the computer that it was going to be complimentary and I even had to argue during checkout to get that charge removed. For the most part, the hotel, pools and the beach are nice, although not any better than the beaches in Miami area. The people are very rude and unfriendly, it is clear that they don't like Americans. The market across the street is a tourist trap, very expensive. The ladies on the beach that do hair are also very expensive. I found one lady who was very nice that did one daughters hair, The lady that did my other kids' hair, on the following day, was very rude and condescending to the kids as soon as I left to get the money from my pool chair area. Don't use the hair ladies that are by the Â lap pool.Â The bottom line is this is a nice hotel in a nice area, but you need to remember you are not in the US and you will be subject to their ways, which will involve you likely paying more money than expected. Â

This place was amazing! My wife and I went for our anniversary and had a wonderful time. Service, staff and cleanliness were great. Cost was what I was really amazed with. We ate several times across the resort at Port Lucayan Market and their prices were comparable to the states. We also charges breakfast, lunch and drinks to our room for the 6 days we were on the island and our room tab was still only 520 bucks. I don't care where you go, when you only spent 100 per day at a resort it is reasonable. Would recommend to anyone wanting to take a family or romantic vacation to look at this for affordable fun in the sun!!! Enjoy because we did and will be back soon!!!

The service at the front desk was HORRIBLE. We attempted to check in at 1145 AM and had to stay in line for 90 minutes. WE finally checked in at 115 PM but had to leave and come back after 3 PM because the room was not cleaned / prepared. The manager, Ms. Cartwright did not make any attempt to make her guests comfortable at all (No Refreshments, entertainments etc..) The housekeepers did a great job cleaning the rooms and common areas. The door persons were very friendly and helpfull. The desk persons need to be more active in doing their job, may be a little training would probably help. Thank you!
