    Stayed there 4 nights. Going in, I thought it would be premium and really glossy/new. The pictures show a newly renovated-looking, designy, boutique-hotel. In reality, it's an independent hotel with cosmetic fixes, but no actual renovations. The facilities probably date back to the 90s - but the paint, bedding, lamps and TVs amp-up the look of the rooms quite well. I'm not saying it's a bad thing. It's clearly been well designed and thought out. I'm saying that they are topical, cosmetic fixes to an old hotel, to make it look more premium. The bathrooms have minor renovations [cosmetic] and are adequate - but don't believe this is a high-end miami hotel.

    First I was told I was in a queen deluxe room. When we got into the room it was the same size as my apartment bedroom. Everything that was red you could see they spray painted the doors and walls. The shower was busted. It would randomly charged to scalding hot water and it burned me and my girlfriend. The carpet looked like it hasn't been vacuumed in weeks they put 2 waters in the room thinking they were complimentary but came out to be 4 dollars per water !!! The pool was dirty the iron in the room was busted. The windows were so disgusting. For all my troubles the manager refunded me the amenity fee when I chck out along with the security deposit. When I called my bank and asked why hadn't my money been refunded back on my card yet ,the guy said that the RED HOTEL HAD AN 4800 HR HOLD ON MY CARD. That's 20 days ? Are you serious?. Never I mean never consider this hotel it's the worst and its over priced the food was way too expensive and it didn't even taste good. THIS IS NO PRANK IM DEAD SERIOUS DO NOT EVER CONSIDER STAYING AT THE BOGGUS HOTEL EVER

    I booked my trip to stay at red hotel months in advance for spring break weekend with my buddy. Upon arriving the hotel looks great. I met with the hotel staff to check in and was advised that we were automatically upgraded. This sounded good but it meant we had 1 kind size bed. Me and my buddy who are single guys weren't looking to sleep with eachother. I was told the entire hotel was booked and their was nothing they could do. I ask for a cot and they didn't have any. I asked to cancel my reservation and they said I would be charged for one night no matter what. They were in no way shape or form helpful accomodating us. the woman at the desk had a pretty much take it or leave it attitude. We ended up having to share a bed because all the other hotels in the area were booked. We then were taken to our room which was not located in the normal hallway of the 6th floor, but in the actual stairwell. The room was clean but the drain in our shower was clogged and the water would pool when showering. During the evening hours, the common areas, bar, and restaurant were deserted and it looked like no one else was at the hotel. Now I know why. On our last night we were next to a room full of teenage doing breakers who were extremely loud at 5am and the walls were paper thin. Plenty of other hotels that we viewed during our time in south beach were 3 stars but a hundred times nicer. Do your research first!! Upon checking out I asked for a comment card. I was told they don't have any. Figures.

    After a mishap at check-in where they sent me to a room that was literally being painted at that time, they sent us to another room where another staff member just opened the room door to ask if we checked-in!! However, after those two incidents, everything was good. The room was very nice and comfortable and modern looking. The staff at the front desk was very nice, specially Charlie. Overall, for the price it was very good!
